How Long Does It Take For Citropram To Leave Your System How Long Does It Take For An Anti-depressant Drug To Work?

How long does it take for an anti-depressant drug to work? - how long does it take for citropram to leave your system

I was on 20 mg Citropram (Celexa / Cipramil) for 4 weeks and I have not noticed a change. I know that it takes several weeks to enter the system, but when I start to feel better? If anyone has trouble sleeping on them? Is this a side effect? Have you ever been? I had interrupted sleep 4 weeks. I sleep during the first 2 hours and then I wake up and move. I can then go back to bed.

Thank you in advance for your help.

This group of antidepressants may be up to 4-6 weeks to show any effect. Insomnia is a common side effect when you take in the evening, you should try each in the morning instead.
I suggest you live in it, and if after 6 weeks has felt absolutely no change, ask your doctor to discuss how to change your treatment.
The best anti-depressants different treatment for each patient can find some time to take advantage of what is best for you.
Good luck!

After Alethia, lasts up to 6 weeks of an antidepressant to be sure, does not work, but it often makes sense to assume that a higher dose, instead of a new drug. Many doctors give up a drug too soon.

It is difficult to know the effects of sleep. Given that depression may interfere with sleep may not be drugs, but if it ever seen, a different medication, both more efficient and improve sleep.

But I give it 2 weeks.

Everyone is different, but maybe you should change within 10 days to 2 weeks before. You must have experienced immediate side effects.

What is your doctor? Perhaps this drug is not suitable for your condition. There are many possibilities, so if I were you, I get down with my doctor as soon as possible and seek their feedback on their progress and possibly to a different drug. Good luck, wish you a speedy recovery.

Mine lasted about a month to operate. If you do not feel a change in a week or more, call your doc back. There are many other options out there. Good luck. Mike
